Lillian Sawyer

Lillian Sawyer is a fiddler, multi-instrumentalist, educator, and composer based out of Portland, Oregon. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Lillian has performed with renowned folk musicians such as Darol Anger, Joe K. Walsh, Grant Gordy, Ben Krakauer and more in addition to touring both nationally and internationally with award-winning bands such as Never Come Down and Fog Holler. 

 

Born in Sarasota, Florida to a musical family, Lillian was exposed to music from a very young age. Her parents began taking her to bluegrass and roots music festivals around age 7 and quickly fell in love with the fiddle. By age 9 she was playing regularly and shortly after that began performing for live audiences with her father. 

 

Now with decades of experience under her belt she tours and performs regularly with avant-garde bluegrass band Fog Holler and teaches both locally and online.
